Generally speaking, chromium content Cr more than 12% steel has the characteristics of stainless steel, stainless steel according to the microstructure after heat treatment can be divided into five categories: ferritic stainless steel, martensitic stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel, austenitic - ferritic biphase stainless steel and precipitation hardened stainless steel.

① Austenitic Stainless Steel

stainless steel with an austenitic structure at room temperature. Steel contains Cr≈18%, Ni≈8%-25% and C≈0.1%. Steel has high toughness and plasticity, but low strength.

② Martensitic Stainless Steel

A steel whose mechanical properties can be adjusted by heat treatment. It has different strength and toughness at different tempering temperatures.

③ Duplex Stainless Steel

Austenitic and ferrite each account for about half of the structure. When the C content is low, the Cr content is 18% to 28%, and the Ni content is 3% to 10%. Some steels also contain alloying elements such as Mo, Cu, Si, Nb, Ti, and N. This type of steel has the characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel

④ Ferritic Stainless Steel

It contains 15% to 30% chromium and has a body-centered cubic crystal structure. This type of steel generally does not contain nickel, and sometimes contains a small amount of Mo, Ti, Nb and other elements. This type of steel has the characteristics of large thermal conductivity, small expansion coefficient, good oxidation resistance, and excellent stress corrosion resistance.

Due to the high content of nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr), 310S stainless steel has good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance. After increasing the content of carbon in austenitic stainless steel, the strength is improved due to its solid solution strengthening effect. The chemical composition characteristics of austenitic stainless steel are based on chromium and nickel to add molybdenum, tungsten, niobium and titanium, and because of its face-centered cubic structure, it has high strength and creep strength at high temperatures. 310S stainless steel is often used in the manufacture of boiler, steam turbine, industrial furnace and aviation, petrochemical and other parts of the industry.

NO.1	Hot-rolled surface, annealed and pickled, can be used as cold-rollingmaterial, industrial tanks and chemical devices.
NO.2D	Cold-rolled, annealed and pick led with out skin passing the dullproducts can be used as auto mo bile parts, building materials andpiping.
NO.2B	The surface brightness and flatness of NO.2B is better than NO.2D.Then through a special surface treatment to improve its chemicalproperties, NO.2B. could nearly satisfy comprehensive uses.
NO.3	Polished with abrasive belt of grit #100#120, have better brightness withdiscontinuous coarse stria, used as inner and external ornaments forbuilding, electrical appliances and kitchen utensils etc.
NO.4	Polished with abrasive belt of grit #150#180, have better brightness withdiscontinuous coarse stria, but thinner than NO.3. are used as bathtubbuilding inner and external ornaments electrical appliances, kitchenutensils and food processing equipment etc.
HL	Polished with abrasive belt of grit #150-320 on the No.4.finish and hascontinuous streaks, mainly used as building ornaments, elevators, doorof building, frontal plate etc.
BA	Cold-rolled, bright annealed and skin passed, the product has excellentbrightness and good reflexivity like mirror, used for electrical appliances,kitchen apparatus, ornament materials etc.
